I know why!  the brick you want to use has not been in a recent LEGO set so you have to wait for more to be made at the factory.

I dont know, but im sure it has to do with the fact that LEGO doesnt make the bricks anymore, or they are being used at that moment (those caterpillar tractor/tank tracks/treads are being used for a bionicle set...)

I know why because you now it is DESIGNbyME bricks, mindstorms bricks and CREATOR bricks. I have same problem

Well,I don't know,but with LDD 3.0,you can use a SUBSTITUTE brick,so this isn't a problem anymore.
