WHAT ON EARTH DO WE GET HIM NOW? Posted: 10 Aug 2009 - 8:14PM
My son was 9 last week and had LEGO and money for LEGO for his birthday. He has now completed all the sets he received including the Star Wars LEGO attack gunship 1034 pieces, Armoured assault tank 407 pieces Tank droid 216 pieces Ferrari fxx sports car another star wars ship and the vw Beetle supposedly for age 16+ with 1626 pieces. All of these have been completed within 5 days!!! Do you have any jobs for 9yr olds please????

Maybe you can get him a large tub of LEGO and let him build it would keep him busy.

The world record for building that thing is 3 days. See if he could beat that time.

Look online at some of the artists LEGO creations...show him and this might inspire him to do something unique and all his own. I have seen full size desks made out of LEGO, or the life size Han Solo frozen in carbonite. You can also look at the Legoland websites and see some of the large and custom things they have made. He works fast from directions, so sounds like you have to give him more to think about...like designing it himself!
